December 18th wine tasting 4-6
Aguaribay Malbec (Argentina) Nose: Intense aromas resemble ripe cherries and raspberries that combined with the slight vanilla give elegance and fineness to this wine.
Palate: In mouth, it appears soft and silky, with rounds tannins. It is a wine of a medium structure, thought for a short guard, because the freshness and smoothness are its major virtue. $12.99
Hamilton Creek Cabernet Franc (Napa) Supple, with flavors of dark berry, spice and herbal flavors. The lavish palate’s tannic backbone is distinct and leads into a well-structured, long finish. Pair with stews, meatballs in tomato sauce, turkey with cranberry, lentils, roasted red pepper or spinach quiche. $12.99
Chateau du Basque Saint Emilion Grand Cru (France) Juicy tannins, spicy cinnamon, cedar oak and a lively acidity complete the picture. One of the best things about this wine is the way it’s just so… complete. It has beautiful aromatics, the fruit is present but not in your face, the texture is rich and full but smooth on the palate, and the finish just goes on… $24.99
Margarett’s Chardonnay (Ca) aromas of vanilla crème brûlée, honey roasted pears and juicy pineapple. These follow through to the palate along with a hint of spice, tropical fruits and dried apricots. The oak is very subtle, the texture is silky and the finish is bright. A very balanced expression of this varietal that can be enjoyed on its own, but also pair nicely with your favorite salad or seafood dish. Regular $12.99 on special on special $11.99
